How to vote on a name, step by step

Here's one vote, a family of five naming the new puppy, screen by screen.

  1. Setting up a vote called Name the Puppy as a Single Winner vote, with five names.

    Add the names

    Tap Name It on the home screen, give the vote a name, and type in your shortlist. Four to eight names works well. Then tap Start Hosting.

    Not ready to commit? Choose Top List and rank a Top 3 to see which names the group really likes, and in what order.

    Everyone joins

    Phones on the same Wi‑Fi find your vote and join with one tap. There are no accounts or codes to type. When everyone's in, tap Start Vote.

    Grandparents far away? With Bestof Unlocked, they can join with a link, on iPhone or Android.

    Each person taps the names in order, favorite first. Ballots stay private, so nobody gets talked out of their favorite.
