How it works

How to rank a Top 10 together, step by step

Here's one vote, five friends settling the best movies ever, screen by screen.

  1. The Choices screen with Movies selected, Back to the Future, The Princess Bride and Spirited Away added, and more movies suggested below.

    1Step 1 of 5

    Add the contenders

Start a vote and pick from Bestof's lists of movies, board games, restaurants and national parks, or type in your own. Add more than ten if you like; the group decides which make the cut.

  2. Setting up a vote called Best Movies Ever as a Top 10 list, with twelve movies.

    2Step 2 of 5

    Choose Top List

Pick Top List instead of Single Winner, choose a Top 3, 5 or 10, and tap Start Hosting.

  3. The host's room with five people joined: Majestic Akita, Jordan, Mia, Priya and Sam.

    3Step 3 of 5

    Friends join with a tap

Phones on the same Wi‑Fi find your vote and join with one tap. There are no accounts or codes to type. When everyone's in, tap Start Vote.

Friends somewhere else? With Bestof Unlocked, share a link and keep the vote open for days.

  4. A Top 10 ballot with Back to the Future, The Princess Bride and Spirited Away ranked first to third, and nine movies left to place.

    4Step 4 of 5

Everyone ranks their own Top 10

Each person taps the movies in order, best first. Only their top ten count, and nobody sees anyone else's ballot.

  5. The Top 10 reveal, with Back to the Future at number one, The Princess Bride second and Spirited Away third.

    5Step 5 of 5

    Watch the list fill in

Every phone counts down from tenth place to first, with fireworks for number one. First place on a ballot is worth 10 points, second 9, and so on, so the list is really the group's. Share sends it to the group chat.
