Where to eat
Where should we eat? Let everyone vote.
Add a few restaurants, everyone ranks them on their own phone, and Bestof picks the place the whole group is happy with. About a minute, start to finish.

How it works
How to decide where to eat, step by step
Here's one vote, five friends picking a place for dinner, screen by screen.
-
1Step 1 of 6
Add the restaurants
Tap Where to Eat? on the home screen. Bestof suggests popular places; tap a few to add them, or type in the taco truck down the street. Three to six choices is plenty.
-
2Step 2 of 6
Start the vote
Keep Single Winner, since you're picking one place for tonight, and tap Start Hosting. You can also choose how people join: nearby phones on the same Wi‑Fi, a link for people elsewhere, or one phone passed around the table.
-
3Step 3 of 6
Friends join with a tap
Phones on the same Wi‑Fi find your vote and join with one tap. There are no accounts or codes to type. When everyone's in the room, tap Start Vote.
Someone doesn't have Bestof? It's free on iPhone and Android, or skip the joining and pass your phone around in campfire mode.
-
4Step 4 of 6
Everyone ranks, in private
Each person taps the restaurants in order, best first, and submits. Nobody sees anyone else's ballot, so nobody has to argue for their pick.
-
5Step 5 of 6
Reveal the winner together
When the last ballot is in, every phone plays the reveal at once: third place, then second, then fireworks for the winner.
-
6Step 6 of 6
See why it won
Five Guys got the most first picks, but Chipotle was high on nearly everyone's list, so it won. The consensus meter shows how happy the group is with the result, and Share sends it to the group chat.

- What if a place doesn't work for someone?
- Leave it off the ballot. If a place is out for someone (an allergy, the budget, a long drive), drop it before the vote instead of hoping it loses.
- Does Bestof find restaurants near us?
- No. Bestof ranks the places you put on the ballot. Start from the suggestions or type in your local spots.
- Can people vote from somewhere else?
- Yes, with Bestof Unlocked. Share a link or QR code and anyone can join over the internet, on iPhone or Android. A vote can stay open for hours or days.
- Is Bestof free?
- Free for up to 5 people, including the host, voting in the same room or in campfire mode. Bestof Unlocked raises that to 32 people and adds voting over the internet.
