How it works
How to pick a game for family game night, step by step
Here's one vote, a family of five choosing tonight's game, screen by screen.
-
1Step 1 of 6
Add the games
Tap Family Game Night on the home screen. Bestof suggests popular board and card games; tap the ones on your shelf, or type in anything it doesn't list. Four to six games is the sweet spot.
-
2Step 2 of 6
Start the vote
Keep Single Winner, since you're picking one game for tonight, and tap Start Hosting.
Rather rank the whole shelf? Choose Top List and Bestof lines up the next few game nights at once.
-
3Step 3 of 6
The family joins
Phones on your home Wi‑Fi find the vote and join with one tap. There are no accounts or codes to type. When everyone's at the table, tap Start Vote.
Little kids without a phone? Turn on campfire mode and pass yours around the table. Each turn stays private.
-
4Step 4 of 6
Everyone ranks, in private
Each person taps the games in order, best first, and submits. Nobody sees anyone else's ballot, so nobody has to argue for their favorite.
-
5Step 5 of 6
Reveal tonight's game
When the last ballot is in, every phone plays the reveal at once: third place, then second, then fireworks for tonight's game.
-
6Step 6 of 6
See why it won
Catan got the most first picks, but Ticket to Ride was high on nearly everyone's list, so it's the game the whole table is happiest to play. Share sends the result to the family chat.

- Can little kids vote?
- Yes. Ranking is just tapping the games in order, best first. Kids without their own phone can take a turn on yours in campfire mode.
- How many games should we put on the ballot?
- Four to six. That's enough for a real choice and few enough to rank in under a minute.
- Can we rank the whole game shelf?
- Yes. Make it a Top List and Bestof ranks a Top 3, 5 or 10 from everyone's ballots, which lines up the next few game nights at once.
- Is Bestof free?
- Free for up to 5 people, including the host, voting in the same room or in campfire mode. Bestof Unlocked raises that to 32 people and adds voting over the internet.
